LEAP Into PASSION?

Brothers & Sisters In Messiah,
     
               ARE You PASSIONATE? Whatever we do and wherever we do it, is to only (always and forever) to be done, as unto The LORD! February 2020 is upon us and of course to most, considered the month of LOVE, usually associated with Passion, but few know or comprehend that the biblical root word means 'suffer,' as in Acts 1:3 - "To Whom He Also Showed Himself Alive After His Passion (Suffering)." When applied to the mind, it denotes the state that is controlled by some emotion and this is the meaning of the word in Acts 14:15, "Men Of Like Passions," and James 5:17, "A Man Of Like Passions," or "of like nature," gives the exact meaning: "Men With The Same Emotions As We." From this the normal force in modern English is 'strong emotion,' as in Romans 1:26; 7:5; Colossians 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 4:5 & Galatians 5:24.  Immorality, impurity, indecency, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, selfishness, party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies), drunkenness, carousing, fear, grief, hate, pride, shame, division (dissensions), anger (ill temper), brokenness, humiliation, arrogance, tears and pain are all emotions we have or had and also recognize in others.


                     22 But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the [l]sinful nature together with its passions and appetites.
25 If we [claim to] live by the [Holy] Spirit, we must also walk by the Spirit [with personal integrity, godly character, and moral courage—our conduct empowered by the Holy Spirit]. 26 We must not become conceited, challenging or provoking one another, envying one another - Galatians 5:22-26 AMP. 


                Have we forgotten LONGSUFFERING? 2 Corinthians 6:4-6; Ephesians 4:1-2; Colossians 1:11; 3:12-13; 1 Timothy 1:16; 2 Timothy 3:10 & 4:2 ALL Speak of it, but what does it mean for us, as believers and followers of Christ? Literally, to be long in the nose or to take a deep breath, so breathe deep of God's Holy Spirit each and every moment of every day this month and until you go home to be with Jesus or He returns to rule and reign here on Earth forever and ever!


                Sunday, February 2nd is Groundhog Day, Monday the 3rd is The State Of The Union Address, Thursday-Saturday, February 6-8 I'll be at a Church Of God Conference in Portales with Pastor Jim Montoya, Thursday the 13th there's a Prayer Mapping Meeting in Santa Fe, Valentines Day is Friday, February 14, Presidents Day is Monday the 17th, Saturday, February 22, there's a Saturate USA (VISIT their website @ http://www.saturateusa.org ) Meeting in Rio Rancho at Faith E-Free on Southern Blvd.  & Ash Wednesday is Wednesday the 26th.
